Coeburn VA issues boil water advisory

The Town of Coeburn, the Wise County Health Department and the Virginia Department of Health have jointly issued a Boil Water Notice for customers in Coeburn until further notice. The Town of Coeburn Waterworks Monday said residents in affected parts of the town should bring any water for consumption to a rolling boil for one minute and let it cool before using it. The affected areas are from the Timberville subdivision on Route 72 South to Flatwoods, to 327 Hanging Rock Parkway on Route 72 South, including Flatwoods Road Loop. The town said an update will be released when water sampling indicates it’s safe to lift the notice.
