Bear cubs rescued and released after Mother killed by vehicle

Three bear cubs were rescued and released after a black bear was hit and killed by a car in Sullivan County on Sunday. The TWRA said that they received a call around 7 a.m. that a bear had been struck and had a crew at the scene by 8:30 a.m. Traps were set, and it took a day to trap the cubs. The agency checked out the cubs and deemed them to be in good health and then released them in a remote area of the Cumberland Mountains.
