Wallens Ridge guards home from hospital while MS-13 members shipped off

Six Wallens Ridge State Prison inmates including five MS-13 members have been shipped to other Virginia prisons while two prison officers who were stabbed in last week’s attack are home from the hospital.

A Department of Corrections statement confirmed the gang members were illegally in the US after coming in from El Salvador and are serving sentences for murders and rape. Corrections Director Chad Dotson visited officers at the Big Stone Gap facility and said he will be sharing the actions of the heroic Wallens Ridge guards to state executives in Richmond.

Attorney General Jason Miyares says his office is working with local officials to charge and prosecute each gang member.
