Report: Bristol man admits to drive-by shooting in Abingdon

A man accused of firing a 9mm during a drive-by shooting in Abingdon turned himself in to authorities.

Logan Widner, 20, of Bristol, Tennessee is charged with reckless handling of a firearm, shooting in a public place and shooting from a vehicle following the early morning incident on Drake Road.

The Sheriff’s Office report said there was a confrontation prior to the shooting. Widner’s SUV was spotted by Sullivan County deputies who assisted in the investigation. The statement said Widner confessed to the drive-by to officers.
