Volunteers needed for Nolichucky River tree planting in Greene County
Green Interchange, a nonprofit organization, is calling on community volunteers to help restore the Nolichucky Riverbanks in Greene County after Hurricane Helene wiped out vegetation. The group aims to plant more than 2,000 trees this weekend to prevent future flood damage. The event is scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Participants are advised to bring closed-toed shoes and a shovel. To get more information on the event, visit Green Interchange dot O R G.
