Traffic pattern change in place for downtown Johnson City study

Public work crews in Johnson City have established a temporary lane closure heading westbound on State of Franklin Road for a study to improve parking and traffic flow in downtown.
A city report said the temporary tape and delineators crafting traffic between Roan and Buffalo streets will be in place until Saturday evening.
It’s part of an experimental trial for on-street parking in those areas as part of the city’s Downtown Parking Study. The alteration in the roadway could reduce the traffic congestion for drivers downtown, according to the statement.
