TN State Museum allocates funds for Washington County sites
More than $300,000 in funding from the Tennessee State Museum is going to organizations and sites in Washington County, Tennessee. Boones Creek Historical Trust, Broylesville Archives and Museum, Hands On Discovery Center, Tipton-Haynes Historical Assoc., McKinney Center – Jonesborough, and the George L. Carter Railroad Museum all receiving a portion of those funds. The funding was made possible through the Tennessee General Assembly when they allocated $5 million to museums run by nonprofits or affiliated with a governmental entity.
