Tennessee Head Coach Josh Heupel gets extended contract, locked in with the Vols till 2030

Before heading down to Atlanta for this weekend’s Aflac Kickoff Game against Syracuse, Tennessee Head Football Coach Josh Heupel was given an additional year on his existing contract, locking him in with the Volunteers through 2030.
Under Heupel’s direction, the Vols have had multiple 10-win seasons, something missing in Knoxville since 2003, led Tennessee to its first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff and players set new GPA records in the classroom last fall and this spring. Heupel has a .712 winning percentage since taking over a Volunteer program coming off a 3-7 season.
