Report: Bank robber in Johnson City stays on sidewalk, waits on cops to arrive

According to a city report, the suspect in a Thursday morning bank robbery in Johnson City simply waited on the sidewalk until officers arrived to take him into custody.

The report said 31-year-old Ryan Reid handed a note to a teller at First Horizon Bank that said that location was being robbed.

Investigators were told Reid took the money as it was handed off by the clerk, then stepped outside the West State of Franklin building without trying to flee the scene. Reid was charged with one count of robbery.
