Police looking for suspect involved in Saturday shooting near Bristol

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the Bristol area on Saturday. A call came in just before 2 p.m. from a residence on Cedar Lane with a report of shots being fired from a vehicle. Police identified the suspect as 43 year old Robert Lee Farmer who also lives on Cedar Lane and had fired several shots from a handgun and left the scene. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office. Authorities said Farmer is most likely still armed and should not be approached. Farmer is charged with four counts of attempted second-degree murder, reckless endangerment, and being a felon in possession of a handgun.
