One person killed after crash into Watauga Lake
One person died Wednesday after a car crashed into Watauga Lake. The crash happened at 6:32 p.m. A Tennessee Highway Patrol report said a 2008 Mazda M6 ran off the left side of the roadway on Wilbur Dam Road at the TVA Wilbur Boat Ramp and struck an embankment before going into the lake. The individual, 41 year old, James Riddle, reportedly died at the scene.
