Northeast State summer enrollment increases 19%

Northeast State Community College has announced a 19% increase in summer enrollment. One of the largest increases the school has seen in several years, a little over 1,900 students for summer. Several factors have contributed to the record number of summer students, including an increase in returning students and an increase in our first-time freshmen students starting in the summer semester. The biggest factor is the Tennessee Promise Scholarship being applied for the first time this year. The second summer semester begins July 14.
