New VA laws take effect July 1

As July 1st approaches, several new laws are scheduled to take effect in Virginia. Those bills that Governor Youngkin signed into law include Penalties for placing Nazi symbols on property to threaten or intimidate people. Also, new laws around speed cameras in school zones should make photo evidence more admissible in court. It will also be a class 1 misdemeanor violation if a driver does not stop for pedestrians on the highway. Also as of July 1st, there will be involuntary manslaughter charges levied for certain drug offenses.
