New hotel and restaurant for N. State of Franklin Road

Details are limited, but Johnson City officials say that a new hotel and a new Dollar Tree are proposed for development next to the Food City on North State of Franklin Road. Horizon Lane is the new name of the road into the site. No information is available about which hotel chain is set to fill the space. There is also a proposed, un-named restaurant to be built at the site. The space was approved in a December Johnson City planning commission meeting.
