Injuries reported in Highway 19E crash in Carter County

Two people standing outside of their vehicle were injured during a crash on Highway 19E in Carter County. The THP says in a crash report says Sunday around 9:25 p.m. a Ford Focus traveling south hit a deer and the driver moved the vehicle to the shoulder. The driver of a Honda CR-V stopped to check on the Ford in the middle of the roadway. The driver and passenger of the Honda got out of the vehicle. The highway patrol reported the driver of the Honda was standing at the rear passenger side of the Honda, and the passenger was standing across the road on the shoulder. A Chrysler Town & Country approached the scene, and the driver saw the Honda in the road. The Ford did not have any lights on while on the shoulder of the road. the Chrysler veered to the right and hit the driver and passenger of the Honda then hit the back of the Ford. The Honda’s driver and passenger were injured. The driver of the Chrysler was not injured.
