Former Wise County prosecutor selected for Virginia’s Criminal Justice Service Board

Former Wise County Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Slemp was selected by Governor Youngkin as one of five new members of the Criminal Justice Service Board.
The group develops policy guidelines that state law enforcement abides by as well as selects departments for various grants that can assist officers in the field and the community.
Slemp recently served as Chief Deputy Attorney General and remains on staff in that office’s enforcement sector.
Other appointees include: Poquoson Chief of Police Stephen Keatts, Col. Travis Christian of the Petersburg Bureau of Police, Chief Carl Rowan, Jr. of Fairfax County and County Manager of Henrico County John Vithoulkas.
