Former East Tennessee SRO indicted for falsifying work hours on time sheet

A school resource officer who resigned in February was indicted by a Cocke County grand jury on charges of falsifying her time sheets with the department.
Lealha Hance admitted to submitting hours and receiving pay for work she did not complete, according to a State Comptroller’s Office report. It also said Hance failed to report to the school for 24 days and submitted 16 of those as time worked, earning an overall paycheck of nearly $3,000.
She is charged with destruction, tampering, fabrication of a government record, official misconduct and theft of property.
