Federal workers at Tri Cities Airport in need of assistance during government shutdown
Workers at Tri Cities Airport remain on the job. Federal workers trudging through a government shutdown that pays their salary.
They’re going without to keep passengers safe, according to airport executives who are calling on local residents to make donations to keep these workers going and able to live without a paycheck.
Grocery and gasoline gift cards, non perishable food and snacks, toiletries and baby and pet supplies will be the most distributed for immediate help.
Tri Cities says they’ll keep accepting donations 24/7 then distribute them confidentially to workers and families. The collection point is inside the airport terminal at the Airport Services Counter. Extra supplies will be donated to local food banks and charities.
