ESPN Sportscenter’s “50 States in 50 Days” will be live from MLB Speedway Classic

For the first time in two decades, ESPN’s production team is literally taking the show on the road on a cross-country tour. Saturday, the show will be at Bristol Motor Speedway for the MLB Speedway Classic. ESPN duo Ryan McGee and Marty Smith will headline the network’s coverage of the game as part of its “SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days” tour. Smith and McGee are both known for covering NASCAR and college football. SportsCenter’s summer tour started on June 27 and continues until August 16, spotlighting a different state’s sports culture each day for 50 straight days. The MLB Speedway Classic, the first major league game to be played in Tennessee has already sold more tickets than any other major league game in history, will feature the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds playing a regular season MLB game on a field constructed in the infield of Bristol Motor Speedway.
