Construction started on Bristol Humane Society expansion project

Construction has started on a multi-million dollar project at the Bristol Humane Society that will improve access to affordable veterinary care and help to reduce the homeless pet population in the region. The new expansion will enable an increase in the number of spay-neuter surgeries performed each year and also expand wellness services from two to five days a week. The organization still needs to raise another $1 million to complete the $5.5 million project. Officials say the facility should be fully operational by April or May of next year.
