Buchanan County supervisor takes plea agreement on protective order charges

Buchanan County, Virginia supervisor Trey Adkins said he took a plea agreement with county prosecutors on charges of violation of a protective order—that was 5 of the 87 counts the lawmaker was charged with in 2022.
Adkins was also convicted on a charge of illegal use of a tracking device. His social media post said he placed an Apple Air Tag on his former wife’s vehicle to determine if she was having an inappropriate relationship.
Adkins also noted that he will not have to serve additional jail time with a judge suspending most of the sentence.
