Bristol Virginia PD goes live with new smartphone app

Bristol Virginia police are combining technology and the help of city residents to communicate with officers and help report incidents anonymously and quickly.
The department announced the launch of their new smartphone app that can be downloaded on Google Play or Apple Store and builds on a similar tool that went live last year that allows tips to go directly to officers.
The city report said the previous means to inform police is still in operation by either going to the department’s official website or using their tip411 text feature.
