Bikers and runners take to Creeper trail to raise cancer research funds

The Creeper Trail Ride to End Cancer held it’s annual event over the weekend on Saturday morning at Laurel Creek Park in Damascus. The event featured a 5K run and an 18-mile bike ride all while raising funds for rare cancer research. Organizers said this years event raised $105,000. Since the event started in 2010, it has brought in more than $1.25 million for rare cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
