ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to remain off-screen in Tri-Cities after WJHL owner nixes return

The return of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is still preempted in the Tri-Cities with WJHL owner Nexstar issuing a statement that their ban of the comedian’s show will continue following comments they said Kimmel made about Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk were insensitive.
After Nexstar and Sinclair, two of the nation’s largest conglomerates of local television affiliates, announced they were offering alternative programming instead of Kimmel on Friday, ABC postponed Friday’s taping after the fallout and threats from FCC Chairman Brendan Carr.
Disney announced the show would be back after discussions with the host. “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is available with streaming options through Disney Plus or ABC.com.
