TDOC identifies inmate who died at Northeast Correctional Complex

The Tennessee Department of Correction has identified an inmate who died at Northeast Correctional Complex in late September. According to the agency, 66 year old Timothy Denton was pronounced dead at 12:25 a.m. at the complex on September 23. A medical examiner is still working to determine the cause of Denton’s death. A news release said that Denton was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder.
