Five Tennessee colleges, including ETSU, have fired or suspended faculty or staff

With the termination of a professor at ETSU, that will mark the fifth college in Tennessee to either suspend or fire faculty members and staff for their social media comments about the death of Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk.
The ETSU statement released on Facebook said condoning or calling for violence has no place within their community.
It also said ETSU stands firm in its commitment to cultivating this type of civil discourse, defined by ETSU as exchanging ideas that positively contributes to our society.
