ETSU: Review underway of professors suspended over social media comments

ETSU President, Dr. Brian Noland, says the university has placed two professors on administrative leaveĀ over social media comments about the death of political activist Charlie Kirk. Noland says the two professors, Andrew Herrmann and Russell Brown, are tenured, so the review will take more time to complete. ETSU does not have a social media policy in place for its faculty and staff, but does have a code of conduct. Noland condemned the comments and said they do not reflect university values. Noland said that there is no definite time frame for how long the review will take.
