Lake Lure officials schedule restoration repair completion dates

Officials in neighboring Lake Lure, North Carolina announced plans to reopen basin areas to normal pool levels and ready for recreational use in May of 2026.

A town report said the US Army Corps of Engineers plan to complete their restoration work along the Lake Lure shoreline October 31st weather permitting.

Mayor Carol Pritchett said more infrastructure projects must also be completed before Lake Lure reaches that important milestone of living past Hurricane Helene.
