Owner of former Virginia Intermont Campus complies with city requests

The Bristol Virginia City Manager says that U.S. Magis International, the owner of the former Virginia Intermont College campus in Bristol, Virginia, has addressed several issues at the property. On August 19, the City of Bristol demanded that China-based U.S. Magis take certain actions within 15 days at the property including securing the property, hire licensed professionals and mow the grounds with the threat of legal steps if the issues were not addressed. Bristol, Virginia City Manager & City Attorney Randall Eads that the company has complied with those actions. U.S. Magis has owned the former campus since 2016. A major fire destroyed parts of the site last December after the campus had sat vacant and derelict since it was purchased.
