Bristol VA and Boyd Sports announce new State Liners stadium

Bristol, VA and Boyd Sports officials just announced Thursday that the Bristol State Liners will return to Virginia and a new stadium will be built. Bristol, Virginia, is partnering with Boyd Sports for the project. A new state-of-the-art, multi-use stadium and will serve as the Virginia High School varsity baseball teams’ and the State Liners’ home field, and also a year-round venue for concerts, festivals, and community events. Boyd Sports had been working with Bristol, TN on plans to renovate the existing Tod Houston Field. Bristol, TN released a statement that noted that a specific use third locker room for the Virginia High School teams were at issue, along with the complexities of renovating an already existing stadium. Bristol VA officials hope to have the new stadium operational by 2027.
