VSP assisting Buchanan County investigators after body is discovered

A death investigation has started in Buchanan County, Virginia.

A report from the Sheriff’s Office said a body was discovered in the Woosley Branch area —located 12 miles from the county seat in Grundy.

The body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke to determine the identity of the person and cause of death. The Virginia State Police is assisting in the case.
