Evidence of ‘heinous acts’ involving animals during Bluff City investigation
A Bluff City investigation into a physical and sexual assault also revealed what police called a disturbing pattern of animal abuse.
Robert Pippins was arrested when officers arrived at a home on Hillcrest Road and is charged with aggravated rape, physical assault and kidnapping.
The report said the mistreatment of animals was discovered while one published report said dead dogs and puppies were found, leading to 15 counts of animal cruelty. A police department statement said investigators plan to hold Pippins accountable for those heinous acts.
