Report: Minimal disruptions after pilot radioed engine trouble to Tri Cities Airport

A pilot was able to guide their aircraft to Tri Cities Airport in Blountville after reporting engine trouble just after 8:30 Tuesday evening.
A report from airport PR said the twin-engine Cessna was en route to Ohio after leaving Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Emergency teams responded and assisted the two people on board after the plane landed safely on Runway 23.
The statement said there was minimal disruption to airport operations and the runway was unavailable for 6 minutes following the landing. No injuries were reported.
