Fan zone added to already packed gameday at BMS Speedway Classic

More additions were announced Tuesday for the MLB Speedway Classic in Bristol on August 2nd.

A state of the art fan zone featuring a concert from country star Jake Owen, interactive MLB displays and family activities will be included in the price of admission for the contest between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds. The zone will open at noon on gameday.

Top brass at Bristol Motor Speedway offered a tour of the work zone currently constructing a regulation size MLB field of play. Thick layers of rock are being smoothed out, waiting for a coating of clay and Astroturf to finish the field with home plate placed in the middle of the Bristol infield and the power alleys housed between turns 1 and 2.

It will be the first MLB game contested in the State of Tennessee.
