Officers dive into the Doe to capture car thief in Elizabethton

A stolen car suspect tried to use the waters of the Doe River to escape from pursuing policemen.

Elizabethton officers dove in and put Leonard Price, 44, into custody then later charged him with resisting arrest.

Price had reportedly taken a vehicle from a G Spruce Lane residence and was carrying a large knife, according to the report.
More charges will likely be filed against Price.
